From 22 to 25 October 2025, the EfVET Annual Conference brought together hundreds of educators, researchers, and VET professionals in Fátima, Portugal, under the theme “Wellbeing in a Digitalised World – Crafting the Future of VET 2035.”
During a dedicated roundtable session on 23 October, the EU-ALMPO consortium presented the project’s mission to transform the way labour market policies are designed and evaluated in Europe. The discussion focused on the EU Active Labour Market Policies Observatory, a new data-driven and AI-supported model that enables policymakers to access real-time evidence, improve employability measures, and promote social inclusion.
Participants explored how the Observatory will strengthen skills matching, support vulnerable groups, and foster lifelong learning across Member States. The session also highlighted the project’s emphasis on transparency and traceability—ensuring every analysis and recommendation links directly to verified data sources.
The roundtable sparked valuable dialogue among stakeholders, connecting policy experts, VET institutions, and social partners on how AI can enhance the effectiveness and fairness of employment initiatives.
As EU-ALMPO moves forward, its work continues to demonstrate how technology, research, and collaboration can jointly build a more resilient, adaptive, and inclusive European workforce.
